However, any wooden currency, token, favour, or collectible we make for you, we reserve the right to keep a sample to promote future sales with you and other clients and potential clients. These samples may appear on our website, at our shop, and in our other promotional materials.

Canada Wide Woods  will only collect personal information for the following purposes:

• to provide customer with ongoing service;

Like most manufacturers and distributors, we collect and use personal information in order to serve our customers. Release Without Consent

 

In most cases, we will not release your information without your consent. However we must provide information in response to a valid demand, search warrant, subpoena or court order based upon a request by a government institution or where otherwise required by law. We may also disclose information to help us collect a debt owed to us by you.

 

Protecting Personal Information

 

We understand the importance of protecting personal information. For that reason, we have taken the following steps:

• sensitive paper information is either under supervision or in a secured location;
• electronic data is protected by the use of passwords, firewalls and encryption methods; and
• our staff is trained to be aware of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal information in their control.

 

Retention and Destruction of Personal Information

 

We need to retain personal information for some time to ensure that we can answer any questions you might have about the services provided and for our own accountability to external regulatory bodies. We keep your personal information for a period of not more than 7 years and not less than 4, after your account has been closed. After this period, the information is destroyed under appropriate supervision.

 

You Can Look at Your Information

 

With only a few exceptions, you have the right to see what personal information we hold about you. We will also ensure the information is available in a format that is understandable. We will do this as quickly as possible (no later than 30 days after the receipt of your written request). Responding to a request for information will usually be done at no cost to you depending on the amount of information requested. If there is to be a cost we will notify you in advance.
